How it began
Boodles Bakery started early in 2024, when my sister gave me a sourdough starter. For years I had been experimenting with recipes for sweets and treats, using my family and friends as taste testers. I laughed off comments that I should sell my creations, never really considering turning it into a business. And then I got REALLY into sourdough. I talked about it all time. So much, in fact, that people started asking if they could buy loaves! I started out selling a few loaves a month, which turned into a few a day. My customers started asking what else I made. I began selling cookies and cakes, focaccias and cinnamon rolls.
I would never have had the confidence to start Boodles if it hadn’t been for the kind words of encouragement from those first few customers. It is truly a blessing when passion and skill collide!
